Women comprise less than one-third of the Georgia General Assembly, only four women have served as justices in the 174 years since the Georgia Supreme Court was established, and no woman has ever served as governor of Georgia.

In 2020, the Chisholm Leadership Academy will embark on a mission to provide culturally responsive civic education to Georgia's girls and young women and to equip them with the tools to make tangible contributions to their local communities today.

The launch event will include a networking reception and formal program featuring diverse women in public service, information on CLA, and ways in which you can support our mission to cultivate a pipeline of middle and high school girls of color to become catalysts for change and to be inspired for bold careers in public service.

Girls in grades 6-12 will be provided complimentary admission. Each contribution will be used to support a Chisholm Scholar in 2020.
