CLA’s culturally competent education model includes lessons on the historical contributions of women of color and works to build the esteem and self-confidence that is highly correlated with success in leadership. In addition, each Scholar is provided with valuable civic education and training that will help her as she carves out a path to executive, legislative or judiciary leadership.

CLA pairs scholars with local and state agencies so that they can get hands-on learning experiences and receive academic credit or stipends for their work.
Interactive Modules

CLA scholars are provided with opportunities to visit the Georgia State Capitol and Washington, D.C. so that they can observe leadership in action.
Mentorship

Each CLA scholar will be paired with a woman working in public service, including elected officials and campaign staffers.
